Galvanic Skin Response For Acute Illness

Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) testing and analysis is very useful in assessing general imbalances in the body and is especially helpful during the winter season with the prevalent colds and flu’s. The process is simple. The client first comes into HealthWalk™ and relays their chief complaint and symptoms. This way we can understand what is subjectively occurring in the client’s own words. Then, with the GSR, we will look at what is stressed in the body and whether the stressor is viral or bacterial. The process of GSR testing allows for identification of the stress, the body systems/organs under stress, and what the body needs to begin to balance itself, support the immune system and recover more quickly. There are then three solutions to be investigated once the stress information has been determined.

First, a mucous sample is obtained in a cup. Then we use this sample to create a homeopathic potency or potencies to be imprinted in the final remedy. Often, potentizing the body’s own mucous will create a personal isode which will give the body a boost from whatever virus or bacteria that is present. An isode is a homeopathic remedy for the body tissues under stress. When potentized, these isodes will make the body more aware of the stress so that the immune system can rise up to meet the stressor. This is much like the concept of a vaccination but the isode is an energetic dilution which will create less stress on the body and give it a gentle influence toward recovery.

Second, GSR testing will help identify the viral or bacterial influence through testing with the nosodes. In the last article, I discussed that a nosode is the disease stressor itself and if we make a potency specific to the main virus or bacteria, the body can then begin to address and weaken the invader’s influence. Nosodes and isodes work quite similarly in the body and much like a vaccination concept.

Thirdly, a test is done for single remedies or a combination remedy that will work to support the immune system so the body can armor up against the illness. Often, the spleen needs support as well as the thymus in acute infection issues. This test includes a balance scan through vitamins, minerals and combinations of herbals and co-factors to assist the immune system toward recovery.

A client came to Healthwalk complaining of an upper respiratory infection. She was first seen by our vital hematologist, who looked at her live blood under our high resolution RTM microscope. Live blood analysis indicated a pneumococcal bacterial stress on the client.

Next she was tested with the GSR, which revealed the need for lung meridian support. GSR biofeedback also indicated that bacteria were a stressor for this client. A combination homeopathic was indicated for her in the Apex cellutox line called PNU-Pro. This is a combination homeopathic remedy that assists the body’s immune system to fight off pneumococcal bacterial infection. The single homeopathic remedy phosphorous was also indicated. This is used in cases of bronchitis and pneumonia.

A mucous sample was then taken, potentized and imprinted into the PNU-Pro. The client received Lung Terrain, PNU-Pro and HealthWalk’s Rupronol™. She also received a Cold Laser treatment to the lung meridian and the lymph to give support for movement and healing to occur. Bach flower remedies were added to her Lung Terrain to support the emotional aspects of her illness.

After having had symptoms for three months that included low energy, coughing, runny nose and general discomfort, the client reported that after using the remedies, along with Rupronol, for three days, her mucous was thinning, her coughing lessened considerably, and her energy improved. After 7 days she had greatly improved with fully restored energy. She returned to all her activities of daily living and felt she was fully recovered. She continued with Rupronol and the Lung Terrain for the next three weeks to stabilize and strengthen her system.
