New Mothers and the Postpartum Health Challenges

New Mothers and the Postpartum Health Challenges

By Dr. Rosalia Mariz

The immune system of the human being is a highly evolved, delicate amplification system designed to ensure survival with an early warning system, hormone feedback loops and many filtration systems to keep us in homeostasis or balance. A particularly delicate time to work on rebuilding the body is during the postpartum period when a woman’s body is very depleted in all areas. We can see this in their blood when we do Vital Hematology. Their red blood cells have no centers and oftentimes the blood cells are so fragile and short lived that they disappear before our eyes as we watch them under the microscope. New mothers’ blood often show signs of extreme deterioration: with evidence of internal inflammation present, and with foreign invaders like parasites and mycoplasma being plentiful, vital nutrients are missing and there are other indications that the body is under great stress. These conditions in the physical body in turn affect the mental and emotional health. What we have here is a host of Health Issues including: Fatigue (mental & physical), Acidic Blood, Low/poor Absorption of Nutrients & Supplements, Toxins in the Body’s, Weight Control and Clogged Arteries and Veins.

It is important for the mother’s and baby’s health to make a Vital Hematology appointment at Healthwalk to see what is going on with their blood. The toll that it takes on a woman to make and carry another human being is tremendous. Most women do not know how badly they need help in rebuilding their bodies. All new mothers should go through a detailed health evaluation to avoid the accumulation of the complex cascade of stressful effects brought on by carrying a baby to term, birthing and caring for the baby. The consequences of ignoring this very critical health juncture will result in long term health challenges because our immune system will not be able to shield us from the ravages of heart disease, cancer, and autoimmune disease.

On top of that, the immune dysfunction can ruin our sex lives, appetite, vitality, family peace, relationships, marriage, work stamina, and our pocket book. At HealthWalk we know that new mothers can benefit greatly from a thorough health analysis and support so we offer services that includes Vital Hematology, Nutritional Counseling, Galvanic Skin Response and MindSoul Brain Technology to help new mothers assess and regain their health. Once we have a clear analysis we can begin to work on the identified health issues and recommend a customized balanced fresh/organic food plan to provide the body with proper nutrients so they can feel and function better.

A woman with a year and a half old child came to HealthWalk with issues about fatigue, weight control, irritability and that she felt constantly hungry. Analyzing at her blood in Vital Hematology, we learned she had parasites in her blood which was causing many of her symptoms. A regimen of HealthWalk’s ReVoxil™ to kill the parasites along with Subrexi™ to give her the amino acids to balance her hormones and support her mental health was recommended. ReGenesys™ was also suggested to supply her with the digestive and neuromuscular enzymes to promote healthy tissue growth, enhance her energy and to normalize her sleep patterns.

A few weeks later when she came back for a check up she was happy to report that she felt so much better and that for the first time in her life she actually recognized when she was full. She could actually say no, “I do not want anymore food because I am full now.” She was sleeping well and waking up refreshed, ready to take care of the baby and herself. We can make better human beings, mothers and wives by taking care of ourselves; and by taking better care of ourselves we can be happier. As she put it so well, “If mom is happy, baby is happy, and the whole family benefits.” So, like they say on plane flights, put the oxygen mask on yourself first before you assist anyone else. Make your HealthWalk appointment, take care of yourself first and everyone else will be happy - see you at HealthWalk soon.
