Stress and Your Gastrointestinal Health

By Dr. Dennis Maness, HealthWalk MindSoul Division

Stress and Your Gastrointestinal Health

Stress is a constant companion in every aspect of our lives. We can’t avoid it; instead we learn to adapt to it. Recent research however has shown us that stress is directly related to emotional problems and that emotional problems are closely linked to physical manifestations. For example there is a definite relationship between chemical and biological processes and mental / cognitive demeanor. Stress has been found to be among the roots of several physical conditions such as insomnia, gastrointestinal and psychological issues to addictions and weight control challenges.

Stress penetrates the mind-body-soul connection as easily as alcohol penetrates the blood brain barrier. There is a direct connection from the brain to every cell in your body. The road to health recovery should always include a brain connection.

Just how and where the stress hits us varies by individual. Some feel it in their chest first while others feel it in the shoulder and neck muscles. At this point you have the opportunity to capture the stressor before it has the opportunity to manifest itself as fight or flight response. If you don’t react to the stressor in time, adrenaline, Cortisol and growth hormone are released, then your survival mode has kicked in. Your blood pressure will increase as does your heart rate, breathing and metabolism. When you are in this state, your blood flow to the internal organs decreases in order to provide extra strength to the muscles of your arms and legs.

Here is where it gets even more problematic. While most of these fight or flight responses are false alarms, the more we experience them, the more we entrain our brain to live in this state. This is when we may begin to experience things like gastrointestinal cramping, diarrhea, insomnia, frequent panic attacks and many turn to addictions such as harmful prescription, over the counter and street drugs for relief.

The good news is this can all be resolved in hours, not over a broken lifetime. To help bring recovery, MindSoul Brain Technologies has a variety of protocols to address and remedy the condition(s). Allow me to introduce you to some of these protocols.

Our clients come to the clinic each day from all walks of life. Their challenges may differ in type or physical manifestation yet, to each one their challenges are very real, very stressful and thankfully with MindSoul Brain Technologies most are very fixable. I start by developing a dialogue utilizing a science called Neuro Linguistic Programming, I study the eyes, and pay attention to body movement and listen to the frequencies contained within the sound of their voice. Every sound we hear carries a frequency that is recognized by our body. Some of these sounds can soothe just as others can stimulate. Certain frequencies will indicate pain while other sounds can make us feel good. These frequencies provide me with clues that will help bring the client back to balance. The eyes are the gateway to the soul; so much can be learned just paying attention to this area. The dialogue helps me identify imbalances to watch for when I am creating the brain map.

Using MindSoul Brain Technologies a brain map of the client’s brain is created to track the particular frequencies and patterns of the brain. This map will illustrate and explain what is going on within the brain, it also provides copious information from memory functions, physical trauma, missing frequencies to ADD / ADHD behaviors. Most people fall asleep during this activity since it is soothing. The brain map shows the activities within the neuro pathways, how the brain is communicating between hemispheres, lobes and particular areas of the brain. From this information imbalances are identified and specially engineered sound and light frequencies are used to balance and harmonize the brain patterns and areas which are imbalanced.

In doing so, we have seen exciting things happen from allowing a quadriplegic to stand for the first time since his accident two years ago to watching activity return to the right hemisphere of the brain in a doctor who was severely injured in a accident thirty years ago.

HealthWalk’s MindSoul Brain Technologies April Heroes Include:

  • A doctor from North Carolina who came to us for assistance in reviving her right hemisphere following an auto accident and a toxic reaction to her medications. Since working with MindSoul Brain Technologies she has regained and maintained activity in her right hemisphere while strengthening her left hemisphere.
  • An uncle and his nephew came to the clinic for addiction recovery. In the first day of treatment we identified the root of the addiction in the brain and made appropriate balances. This was enough to keep both of them drug and alcohol free for the past three weeks and they are adding to that total of drug free days each passing day.
  • A lady with Bell’s Palsy found relief after the first session.
  • A health care professional who has had difficulty with balance while walking and had fatigue issues has regained his balance and has not fallen nor been fatigued since he started his sessions.
