April Founder’s Message
Mark D. Hinds, Co-Founder and Co-Visioneer
Dear HealthWalk Friends and Family,
Warm greetings to you. The month of March flew by for us at HealthWalk™, and here we are in April already. We had a busy and exciting March as we launched an alliance with the National Football League™ (NFL) Alumni Associations of San Diego and Southern California.
We are thrilled to support the athletes, their family and friends to attain, regain and enhance their health. When athletes play at a professional level, they are disciplined to constantly practice, play and exert their bodies to stay at peak performance. The demands on their bodies are severe and oftentimes they are injured and their careers cut short due to the physical rigors, travel and mental stress that come from these physically punishing sports. Particularly in the case of professional football, the career span is very short (under five years) and the athletes are dealing with the aftermath of the injuries and physical trauma all their lives.
According to reporter Ken Hambleton of the Lincoln Journal Star, "The average lifespan of a NFL player who has played for four years or more is about 10 years less than the average man. The injury rate, meaning an injury that causes at least four weeks of rehabilitation, for a player in the NFL with at least one year in the league is almost 100 percent." A recent Los Angeles Times survey of retired NFL players found that 78 percent of ex-players reported some kind of physical disability from their playing days.
HealthWalk is delighted to work with NFL alumni and current players on how to prevent and recover quickly from injuries. Oftentimes the total impact of the injuries are not manifest until years later and the alumni have little support then from the NFL to seek medical assistance.
Jim Weatherley, president of NFL Alumni San Diego said, “We wanted to find a better way to serve the needs of our players. It is not uncommon for pros to experience chronic health problems. We needed to find alternative methods to help them regain their health and well-being, which we did with HealthWalk.”
Football is one of the more dangerous and physically demanding sports. Studies have shown how NFL retirees often suffer serious physical and mental health problems. “The injuries and trauma that the players suffer often do not present as chronic illnesses until the players are in their 40’s or 50’s”, says Kirk Dodge, president of NFL Alumni Association Southern California “a great majority are experiencing what I call body breakdown. We are dealing with everything from chronic pain, diabetes, and depression to fitness and nutrition issues. We needed to take a more holistic look at addressing these health concerns.”
I am pleased to report that in the last few weeks the NFL alumni who have come to HealthWalk are already experiencing dramatic improvement in their health! One common health problem we identified in the NFL alumni via Vital Hematology live blood analysis was that they have parasites. This is a health issue that most Americans face and yet are often unaware of. The CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention) stated that the average American carry 8-10 pounds of parasites in their bodies! Our food supply, water and environmental pollutants have made parasitic infections a problem for almost everyone.
Parasites wreak havoc in our bodies in many ways and because the range of effects, the diagnosis of parasitic infestation is often missed. For the NFL alumni, the parasites caused arthritis, intestinal inflammatory diseases, migraines, fatigue, persistent wide spread skin rashes, respiratory issues and difficult to lose weight gain among other symptoms.
The alumni and players took HealthWalk’s ReVoxil™, a complete broad spectrum natural anti-parasitic to eliminate the parasites and BioNue™ a powerful probiotic to replenish and restore balance to the intestinal flora. We also analyzed their blood and saliva to determine how their endocrine systems are functioning. HealthWalk offers the leading edge assessment of the different biomarkers which may indicate the presence of various conditions and diseases, including cancer, cardiovascular disease, metabolic disorders, autoimmune, viral and bacterial diseases and hormonal imbalances.
Galvanic Skin Response, G.S.R. was also performed so that we can get corroboration of the analysis from Vital Hematology and to get data and resolution for potential allergies and other functional disorders before they become pathological.
One test that really was eye opening for many of the athletes and their families was Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging, D.I.T.I. This test may show the weaknesses and pathology in the vascular, muscular, neural and skeletal systems, including cancer cells in the body. With D.I.T.I. we were able to pinpoint and address existing injuries and disease as well as areas of potential injuries so that the root cause of the pain, disease and mobility issues could be dealt with properly.
MindSoul Brain Technology proved to be a wonderfully effective modality to remedy the brain trauma and resultant nerve damage, brain fog, memory loss, mood swings and motor skill impairment that the numerous collusions that the players experienced in each game brought on. MindSoul Brain Technology maps and measures the brain’s energy patterns and our neural and biofeedback technology support the transformation of negative or missing energy patterns to positive and energizing brain imprints. To see the positive physical transformation and the reactivation of missing or misfiring brain patterns was a joy for the players their families and friends and for us at HealthWalk.
Combined with the above modalities we worked with each person on their particular nutrition needs based on the overall analysis of their health, body and lifestyle conditions. It is gratifying for us at HealthWalk to share with the players their enthusiasm and joy as they progress in recovering and improving their health. We look forward to supporting many more of the NFL alumni and players and their families and friends on their path to optimal health. I know that they will join me in welcoming you to visit us at HealthWalk too.
To your health.
